I'm Nicole Jones, a portrait photographer based on Chicago's North Shore — and Evanston is one of my favorite places to work. With its mix of lakefront parks, tree-canopied streets, and the energy of a college town that's also a real community, it's a place full of personality. And the best portraits reflect that.

Evanston has some genuinely beautiful spots for family sessions. Lighthouse Beach and the lakefront parks offer that classic North Shore feel — open sky, water, golden light. Dawes Park and Centennial Park are quieter, with lush green backdrops that feel relaxed and timeless. And if you want something with a bit more texture — brick walls, interesting architecture, streets that actually look like Evanston — downtown delivers that too. I'll help you find a location that fits your family, not just a backdrop.

For headshots and personal branding, Evanston is full of options. Northwestern University professionals, faculty, entrepreneurs working out of downtown offices, real estate agents, consultants, small business owners — I work with all of them. I offer studio sessions at a private North Shore location, or we can take it outside to Evanston's streets and green spaces. Either way, my approach is the same: no stiff poses, no forced smiles. Just portraits that actually look like you.
